Golf Locations in Catalonia
Our house is a 7 to 8 mile drive to the St.Cyprien golf course (www.golf-st-cyprien.com), which has both 18- and 9-hole courses. (The 18-hole course is par 73 and 6480m).
There is also the beautiful 18-hole Domain de Falgos (www.falgos.com/uk/) course (This course is par 70 at 5047m). It takes longer to get to than St Cyprien, but it is a lovely drive along the Tech valley and up into the mountains to St Laurent de Cerdans. Once there, you have inspiring views of snow-capped Pyrennean Mountains, as well as the Costa Brava to the south.
There are 9-hole courses at Amelie Les Bains (along the Tech valley after Ceret) and at Camprodon (all the way along the Tech valley, after Prats de Mollo and into Spain).
It is an easy drive from Laroque to Spain, where you can sample the Costa Brava courses at Torremirona Golf Club, south-east of Figueres on the N260 at Navata, (www.torremirona.com/uk/torremirona.html - 18 holes, par 72 and 6245m) and Peralada Golf Club, north-east of Figueres on the N260 toward Llanca, (www.golfperalada.com/indexuk.htm) which has both an 18- and a 9-hole course.
Just south-west of Figueres, on the Gi513, is Mas Pagès (www.maspages.com) an informal but really pleasant course set in some beautiful countryside. It offers a 9-hole pitch & putt or an 18-hole par 3 course.
